The Felt Box. Felting and crafting : May 2021

Alison Rumbles is a talented needle felter who creates fabulous miniature pieces of art. She has a passion for dogs and this can be seen throughout her carefully created portfolio of work. She achieves a remarkable likeness, the different breeds of dogs are instantly recognisable.

She also creates lifelike animals and birds, a particular favourite of ours is her hare hugging the letter 'H'. She presents her felted creations positioned in and amongst old printers blocks and vintage tins which shows the scale of the pieces beautifully.
